Namiko Takahashi built the "でた単 (Detatan)" apps for iOS and Android. Some are commercial apps and some are free apps. This SERVICE is provided by Namiko Takahashi and is intended for use as is. This page informs visitors of the policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information for anyone who uses this Service. By using this Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. The Personal Information collected is used for providing and improving the Service, and will not be shared with anyone except as described here.

Information Collection and Use

For a better experience, users may be required to provide certain personally identifiable information, including but not limited to an email address. The app also stores learning data such as scores, study dates, and words answered incorrectly, so that progress can be restored across devices. A nickname and score are shown to other users only when the ranking or group features are used.

The app uses third party services that may collect information used to identify users:

• Google Play Services (Android)
• Firebase Authentication
• Cloud Firestore
• Google Analytics for Firebase
• Firebase Crashlytics
• Google Gemini API (AI question feature)

AI Question Feature

When you use the AI question feature, the text you enter and the target word are sent to the Google Gemini API to generate a response. No name or email address is sent. Please do not enter personally identifiable information into your questions.

Log Data

Whenever you use this Service, in the case of an error in the app, data and information (through third party products) is collected on your phone, called Log Data. This may include your IP address, device name, operating system version, app configuration, the time and date of use, and other statistics.

Data Deletion

You can delete your learning records and scores at any time from the bottom of the Settings screen in the app, choosing the range you want to remove. This deletes both the data stored on the device and the data stored on the server. To request deletion of the account itself, contact detatan2018@gmail.com from the email address used to sign in.

Cookies

Cookies are files with a small amount of data that are commonly used as anonymous unique identifiers. This Service does not explicitly use cookies, but third party code and libraries may use them. You can accept or refuse cookies, though refusing may limit some functionality.

Service Providers

Third-party companies and individuals may be employed to facilitate the Service, provide the Service on our behalf, perform Service-related services, or assist in analyzing how the Service is used. These third parties have access to your Personal Information only to perform these tasks on our behalf, and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.

We value your trust in providing us your Personal Information, and strive to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. However, no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children's Privacy

These Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided personal information, we delete it immediately.
